From my experience of more than a decade and being an admin of world’s largest VLSI community founder, I have listed a few points. One may get easily a good career following these steps.

1. Pick basic 3 4 skills of your interest around VLSI. Maybe Digital basics/ Analog, Verilog/ VHDL, ASIC Design Flow, FPGA basics, SoC basics, a couple of projects, protocols, SV, Fundamentals of PD, STA, DFT, etc.

2. Learn a couple of tools of your interest

3. 2 certification courses of any free platform like NPTEL

(Gained knowledge is important as compared to certificates)

4. Keep sharing your doubts, queries, knowledge, and learnings with the VLSIChaps family

5. Utilize LinkedIn properly, Keep making quality connections

6. Make a proper resume. Highly accurate and error-free

7. Keep applying daily on 15 jobs through LinkedIn or other platforms.

8. Carry the activities around learning, helping, and knowledge sharing instead of package and salary only.

9. Look for the free association on projects, teamwork, and knowledge sharing from mentors of this group.

10. Keep an eye on all the vlsichaps platforms, Quora, YouTube, LinkedIn etc. Keep looking as regularly the opportunities are being shared. Get recommendations from group members, admin, and successful mentors if possible.

11. Boom,… A dream job is waiting for you. 😃

Do not forget to share the news with our family.
